    Hello,

i've got a new WD HD TV with the newest Firmware. I bought it to test if it is able to replace my xbox 1 with XBMC

So first i want to say. It works great. Most movies working. Also the option to add the covers is great, i wont miss that anymore since i've got it on XBMC

So here is what i do miss:

    1. If i watch an Widescreen move and i do start a Simpsons episode there is much black on the left and right. So i have to switch back to menu then -> config > Movie config -> Widescreen to normal

and then back again to the episode... is it possible to add this Switch in the Movie Options next to Subtitels? Would be way better.

    2. I can only Fast Forward with 16x thats okay but is it possible to add a "10 Minute Skip" on the right button and a "10 Minute Back" on the left button?

    What do you think?

    best regards
    Andy

Press Fast Forward/Reverse on the remote and then Next/Prev to skip forwards or backwards 10 minutes at a time.

The Options menu isn't configurable AFAIK, and I don't think the function can be automated either depending on the file being played.

Thanks for the fast replys (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

is there someone who know it for sure, that its not configurable? So if this is going to be added in the options there has to be a new firmware, if the developers think the idea is useful?

    best

I don't relly think there's any reason to add such a feature. Something like this can be done directly on your TV but i recommand to watch movies or other files in its original aspect ratio and this works pretty fine with the live. Or what is that wrong with watching a show origially produced in 4:3 in its original aspect ratio ?

Already works like it was explained before and there's always possible to switch chapters directly if supported by the container format (at last it workes for me perfectly with mkv if implemented).

The only thing i really miss is support for subtitles with 2 or more different dialogue lines (i.e if 2 dialogues cross each other or karakoke subtltle files with 2 or more laguages in different height of the screen). To be fair it's not possible with any other player out there but with a HTPC no problem.
There's still a audio/video sync problem for me with few unproper encodes but this should be blamed on the people who are not able to do it right.
