Hi there
I've just bought 2 months ago this wonderful NMT, and so far so good, except one pending issue: - when I switch-off the the hub media center, still the optical output is active (red light behind) and also the USB plugs, as I can see the attached HD blinking & feel they are still running when I put my hand on their covers. - Same thing for the Hub Media Center by itself, I can feel its own internal HD running despite having switched it off. I have downloaded & successfully installed the last firmware, so would you know any tip to fix this problem? Thanks a lot for your help. |

remove the power cord from the device.
"powering off" via the remote only turns off the video output, more of a standby mode |

If I am understanding your question correctly, have you held the power button down for 5 or so seconds? The remote puts the box in standby mode so other devices can access it. If you hold the power button down it should power down the internal drive etc. Problem is that if you are using the media library it goes through the process of re-cataloging the drives each time you power up which takes a while.
From the manual on page 8: • When power LED is on: - Press the power button to power down the media center. The internal drive is put in sleep mode and other devices can still access it. - Press and hold for five seconds to completely shut down the device and make the internal drive inaccessible. HTH -P |
