Hi everyone,
i'm trying for a few days to display external subtitles (.srt, .ssa, ..), during video (.avi) playing, with streaming application for iPad. All iPad apps well detect the mediaserver as an uPnp one. All avi files are played with no pb, but external subtitles are not display. Each subtitle is in the same video directory and only the file extension change: 01.avi and 01.srt for example. Subtitle are displayed when file video is played from my computer, using vlc or WMP, ... The pb only concerns uPnp and iPad apps. I tried Airplayer, Goodplayer, Plupplayer, oPlayer with same result. Developpers of these application have all answered: the mediaserver has to send to us the subtitle as a text topic, with the same url of the video file. Here is a answer from Aiplayer support: "DLNA/UPnP needs server to provide subtitle file as text item to us, with the same path of the video file." Is there a solution or an iPad app (maybe done b WD!) or it's not possible ? Thanks for your help. |
