Hello,
A few days ago I bought myself a WD TV Live HUB and try to make it operational. However, when I turn the WD on, I only get a sort of start screen for a few seconds (which seems normal to me), but after that only a blank screen. The WD LED stays on, but it acts like it is in standby modus, connection through video component, nothing helps. Because I'm not able to get any menu, I cannot do an update. Anyone who has a solution or trick? |

Can you try connecting via HDMI instead?
Try inserting a USB stick with the updated FW and then cold boot the player. If all goes well, it should detect the FW and go into auto-update mode. To be doubly sure the FW is detected as a newer version, you might want to edit the number in the .VER file (see Tutorials section for more). However, since it's a new device, I would recommend that you exchange it ASAP. At the very least it should be working out of the box. |
