    Just wondering if anyone might know a way/what cables i could use to get the audio from my old wd tv G1 to my old iMac, for the purpose of bypassing dts incompatibility.

    Doesn't really matter how you do it, it can't downsample DTS to AC3 while playing a movie so the gear has to support DTS to work. Finding some cheap Logitech sound system might be a solution, or you could get a newer WDTV which supports downsampling. Or you could convert the sound, I think there's a simple converter for the popcorn hour which accomplishes that.
