For the first time since I bought me WD live box a few years ago, I realised I needed to run the audio out from the WD live to my analogue mixer. As soon as I hooked up a mini-jack to 2 phono (stereo) I got nothing more than 1 channel making a loud hum and the other playing the sound faintly. I checked other channels in my mixer and still the same problem occurred . Is there something im doing wrong?
Thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

I never experienced that, even when taking it out of my stereo setup and hooking it up to an old CRT tv it always just worked fine.
have you tried all the different audio settings in the menu setup area? |

only thing that comes to mind is where the cable plugs into the WDTV, faulty jack or the cable isn't seated properly.
unless the cable you are using isn't the one that came with your media player, maybe it's wired differently. |

Ah maybe your right, i will have to search for the original box and see if i can find the original cable and try that instead as it maybe wired a bit different.
