So I bought this yesterday to mainly play mkvs from my NAS over my network. It worked flawlessly yesterday. It saw the wired network, saw my NAS and played 85% of the files I threw at it. This morning however, the NAS is gone and it can not find it. I've rebooted it, I updated the firmware and re-did the setup for network preferences and still that did not work.
Any tips to get my NAS to show back up? |

I rebooted my router and that worked. Not sure why this happened, but I'll remember that step next time.

K, it happened again. It seems that if I have uTorrent open and actively downloading, the WDTV Live will not see my NAS. Is that normal or is there a work around?

strange indeed, I don't think that should happen but I don't have a NAS to play with so I can't say for sure.

I had transmission open and downloading both times and I was able to stream 1080p mkvs. But when I had uTorrent open and dowloading concurrently, WDTV would not see the NAS on my network.
Not sure if uTorrent blocks a port or something but it seems to make my NAS inaccessible. |

It might be UPnP related as I'm pretty sure Transmission doesn't use UPnP & uTorrent does. Try disabling UPnP on the router and see if it still happens.

Yes, uTorrent does have a port prefence for UPnP. I'll tweak that some to see if that helps before shutting down on the router.
