I just received my WDTV Live back after it was replaced under warranty, the original one stopped playing all types of media, the replacement one plays everything fine again, when I plugged it in it told me it needed a firmware update which I did and it installed it ok. What I have noticed is how long it takes to start up, from pressing the red remote button it takes 40 secs with no hard drive plugged in, my other WDTV Live used to start up straight away so any idea's what has happened? I notice the replacement is not the same one I sent as the serial number is different.

Yes, they send refurbished players back. As for the slow start-up time, not much idea. Do you have the Media Library turned on now and was it on earlier as well? Have you tried both a soft and hard reset?

I can't recall if I had Media Library turned on before but it was turned on when I checked the replacement one, I turned it off to see if there was any difference but there wasn't, I pulled out the power lead for 10 secs and then put in back in but it also made no difference to the start up time, I then pressed the reset button and this made no difference, not sure what else I can try.
