I've deleted and added new folders to my NAS and yet my WDTV seems to be disaplying from a cache or something. It still shows the files I had originally on it, but the new ones added and it still shows the ones I've deleted.
Any way to clear to the cache or reload the files on the WDTV so it can accurately display what's on my NAS? |

Try pulling out the power cord, wait 10s or so, then plug it back again.

^ Nope, didn't work. This device is really starting to frustrate me. If I go to 'videos' and I see my folders in there that are on my NAS, and I select one, the unit freezes and I have to hard reboot it.
So I either get only half my videos to show up going through the 'file' option, I can freeze the unit if I go through the 'video' option, I can't run uTorrent at the same time and I just tried to watch a mkv and it was stuttering. A great first impression is now beginning to sour. |

One option is to do a factory reset (not pretty), but might work.
I also have a NAS (Thecus N4100Pro, RAID 5) and I have 2 Live units and neither exhibit this behaviour. What NAS is this? NFS? CIFS? |

I did the factory reset and it then showed a tenth of my files. So now it's completely useless. I also cleared the media library to see if that was like clearing the cache. I got frustrated and gave up for the night.
I have a Neatgear NV+ and I have if set up for upnp, AFP, CIFS, maybe NFS, not sure. It worked great out the box. So I grabbed more movies onto my NAS, that's when the issues started. It didn't see any new movies and it kept displaying the old folders that I had deleted. |
