When I display my YouTube Searches they show up with truncated titles. The only way to see more of the title is to move the cursor overtop of each video to allow it to scroll through the rest of its title, which is still truncated on long file names. I find this annoying and would prefer to display these in the "List Mode".
As examples try searching for Gordon Edwards Nuclear, CARandDRIVER, or RoadandTrack. All of these query titles start with Gordon Edwards, Car and Driver or Road and Track respectively. These are the only part of these titles that are shown in the existing "Views" until you place the cursor over top of them, to allow them to scroll. This "Scrolling" takes forever and is a waste of my time, it takes much less time to use my computer, where I can chose the ones I wish to watch by their full titles. When I'm in these screens and I press "Options" there is no way to change the View. I have no desire to look at useless Icons of these videos and I need to change this View to List to prevent it from being unuseable. Is there anyway to do this at the present moment, or can this feature be incorporated into a new Firmware Release? |

Update
I reverted back to my WDTV Live Plus (Gen 2), with B-Rad Custom Firmware, and my YouTube searches are now vastly superior. They show alot more of the title (sometimes all of it depending on the length) and when you place the cursor over top of them the remainder of the title scrolls. But better than that there are details of the episode you have your cursor over. On the left hand side of the screen there is a larger thumbnail, the title (sometimes truncated), the rating, and a summary of the contents. This is the format that is needed for efficient navigating. |
