I'm new to WDTV, and have firmware 1.05.04. i would like a menu like minimalistic osd for this firmware.
I would like to select movies that would take me to all my shares on my network. without selecting shares then which pc its on. also after installing plugins, to be able to put them in the internet media section. and remove some of the original pluggins that came with this firmware. im a definite Noob (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) , when it comes to programming, and linux, i would need a copy/paste/change names kind of instructions, if this is easily possible for anyone, it would be greatly appreciated! This model seems to have been discontinued by WD and will likely receive no further updates from them. You can either install the latest (final?) official firmware version i.e. 1.06.16, or go with the latest version of WDLXTV that will give you access to various plugins etc. (read the instructions carefully first before installing!)
