       WD shuts down automatically

    Hello people i bought this new WD player it was working all fine till now...

    Few days back i paused a video for around 10 minutes due to some other work..but when i came back the WD player was shut down automatically there was no power light too..

    Since then whenever i start my new player it plays for around 20 minutes and then shuts down automatically...

    AS I am from india and there is no service centre for western digital products here..kindly help on this issue please (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) (

    not familiar with that behavior myself.

    any chance it's full of dust and overheating? I'd pop the covers off and blow it out good for starters.

    Did you buy a Live Plus or Live SMP? What's the model number and firmware version installed? As Rev said, check whether the player's running hot. You can also try updating the firmware if it's not up to date and see if that helps. Do a full device reset (using the reset button, see manual for more) both before and after the FW update.

    I got the issue sorted...however it was not related to firmware..i got my firmware updated to recent one now..the problem was my plug was bit spread of from between so it was loosing connection often due to that player use to shut down..!! thankfully it will work fine now..!! any issues further will keep updated thank u !!
