    Goodday all,
I have the wdtv gen1 Version: 1.03.01, everything worked fine. Mp3, DD, DTs etc all going through my optical cable.
The suddenly no DD and Dts on files the I have played before and I haven’t changed anything, but the mp3 is working fine the setup is still the same with digital as output, my dvd player can play dd and dts on the same receiver so the receiver is still good
    Please for some help

verify all connections, the HDMI has been known to be a little weird on the WDTV's
try another cable if you have easy access to one

oh and make sure the little red light is on for the optical output of the WDTV, maybe it died?
