I am wondering if it is possible to disable all audio decoding on the WD box (AC3) etc. so it is all passed to my receiver.
Reason being I have entirely MKV Bluray files, most of which are DTS and work without a flaw, but some of the AC3 ones (not all) the audio comes out all messed and staticy. I have a feeling if instead of the WD box decoding the AC3, if the receiver did it (since its a fairly high end one - Pioneer VSX 919AHK) it would work fine. Is this possible? If not can I extract the AC3 out of the MKV and convert it to DTS? |

Why do you think yours is decoding?? |
