    Does anyone know the new WDTV Live able to display Movie cover and synopsis like the old WDTV?
    Will you still be able to use the WDLxTV bin for the new WDTV Live?

    yes it shows the cover like the old one , but only one hdd on the usb port , the limit of two hdd in total .... its sooooo fast in showing the covers now ...no loading time at all ...

    Was there a way to get the old WDTV to show a text synopsis about a file without using some hacked unofficial firmware? I am unaware of any way to get the new or old WDTV to show a synopsis, though I've read about some hacked firmware that lets you do it. Is there a way to do it straight out of the box with the factory firmware?

    I can confirm that the WDTV Live shows cover art (folder.jpg or videofilename.jpg) just like the old WDTV. It will also show cover art off of network drives.

    I'm interested in getting the synopsis to show up WDTV Live. I have no problem getting the video cover to show up. Any suggestion?

    I don't think you can add video descriptions right out of the box. I have never seen an update that mentioned anything like that I am have had my WDTV unit for over a year now. If the Live version did have that ability, that would be one more reason why I would make the switch. Look in the custom firmware section for more information. Plus there are a few YouTube videos out there about the same thing. If there is a way to add desciption without a custom firmware, I would love to know as well.
