It would be really awesome if we could simply put a *.txt file (imdb.txt for example) that would show the movie information in the osd when you're in that respective movie folder. I know some custom firmwares out there can already do that but I'm wary of switching to a custom firmware and would rather just stay with the offical releases/beta releases for now. Don't want to brick my WDTV after I just got it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Please implement the movie info as a background image by storing the image in the same folder as the film. ie similar to storing the cover by having a jpg with the film.
Obviously this option would only work when viewing films by folders. |

I absolutely support this. I've been wanting this feature for ages. What are the custom firmwares that allow you to do this?
It's such a vital feature of the WDTV I'd be willing to risk custom firmware to get it. If you were able to have a simple .txt file in the same folder as the movie, and then say, when you hover over the movie folder, the text would appear in a little box, or somewhere around the interface. To prevent flooding, only the first 300 characters or something could be displayed. Either way, this feature MUST be implemented, it is so important! Also, a go-to function would be nice (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Thanks, Sabre |

It's such a vital feature of the WDTV I'd be willing to risk custom firmware to get it. Install WDLXTV and the LaurentG mod. Read the posts in the WDTV v1 > Custom FW sub-forum for more. From the screenshots I've seen so far, it sure looks great! Further posts split off into new thread here. |
