Okay I seem to have MOST of my harmony one set up for the wdtv live but the problem is controlling the volume, ie it doesn't work.
Where the hell in logitech's awful software is the option to always have volume controlled by the receiver? Can't seem to find this in my WDTV device and activity. Specifics would be ideal because this software is a bloody mess. WDTV Live > Denon 3210CI > Samsung hdtv is how it's all chained together. I've noticed too that the default Logitech Harmony profile for the WDTVLive activity shows a blank screen on the remote when all's said and done. It can only be controlled via specificly selecting the device and changing the volume by selecting the receiver device. ugh what a mess. I hope logitech releases some sort of update to the device profile like they did with my comcast box |

You would do like this:
On the activity, press settings. Check "Review the settings for this Activity" and press next. Then you should check "No, I want to run the setup wizard again to change these settings.", and then check "No - I will do the manual setup." (at least I had to choose that). Then check whatever device you use to display the WDTV(probably your TV (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ), after this I get the option of choosing whatever device I use to control volume, and I check my JVC system. Then just press next, next, next, done, next, next(or whatever order you have) if you are happy with all other settings. Then it should work as you want. I have the Logitech Harmony 555, btw. " I've noticed too that the default Logitech Harmony profile for the WDTVLive activity shows a blank screen on the remote when all's said and done. It can only be controlled via specificly selecting the device and changing the volume by selecting the receiver device." That's probably because Logitech does not think there are anything you want to do, for example when I press TV, the only thing I can do is "Text". |
