Please dont jump the gun on your first post, its unfair for you to post a 'warning' about the update. |

Hi, Did you use a fat formatted thumb drive? Did make sure the files where in the root? Still no luck? What msg is displayed when you try to update with the thumb drive and fails? ok, just tried again with the newer firmware. no luck. put all three files in the root of the drive. yep, its fat formatted. no response from hdmi, component. just b/w image saying to insert usb drive with firmware to recover... this sucks. |

Hi, What thumbnail fix where you hoping for? And how did you successfully update your wdtv live, thumb drive or internet? I did the automatic update over the internet. I was hoping for a fix that stop showing all the movie.jpg and movie.avi files in the video folder. the movie.avi files have the correct thumbnail, I was just hoping I wouldn't see the jpb any more. Any way around this? I believe it is a know issue. |

no response from remote. tried updating via internet and it got it completly downloaded, tried to restart and never booted up. now i just get the insert usb drive with firmware message You might want to give this a try... Download the last firmware update (The 1.01.11 can be found here > http://wdtvhd.com/index.php?showtopic=8723) before this one then edit the wdtvlive.ver by changing the number in this line VERSION='1.01.12' to a higher number. Load it back onto your thumb and try to install that firmware. |
